Ocean Road and the lanes off it are the classic Bridgehampton estate section, and they are where most buyers at the top of the market actually land. Running south from Main Street toward the beach, Ocean Road and neighbors such as Jobs Lane, Mecox Road, and Bridge Lane hold shingled traditionals and substantial modern houses on one to five acres, many with reserve or farm-field frontage that will not be built on, and several with views toward Mecox Bay and the Atlantic together. Walk-on beach access at Ocean Road and a short drive to Mecox Beach are the practical draws. Recent activity has commonly run from about $4 million to $20 million depending on acreage, water view, and how recently the house was built.
